As Head of the School, I welcome you to the UNSW School of Surveying and Spatial Information
Systems student site.
This website has been designed with you, the student, in mind. You'll find information
to help if you are thinking about studying at University of New South Wales in the School
of Surveying and Spatial Information Systems (SSIS), as well as information for current
students of the SSIS.
SSIS, as a School, is an active one with many social, industry and academic activities
occurring throughout the year. 2007 will be no different to other years with many social
events - which often involve the surveying and spatial information industry - as well as many
academic activities planned for the SSIS student.
As well, in 2007 the School will be celebrate
the 50th anniversary of the first intake of Surveying students. Watch for the celebrations!
For more information about planned events as well to have
a look at the schools history please go to our webpage
http://www.surveying.unsw.edu.au/2007_50years/index.html
SSIS is a small School and this has many benefits: such as everyone gets to be know each other, creating an environment that is safe and friendly for the student.
I encourage you to keep checking this website as it will be regularly updated with news about events, as well as news about the School itself.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the School.
Happy surveying!
